Vacancies for Assistant Professor (English Journalism) in Indian Institute of Mass Communication - May 2012

Applications are invited in the prescribed format for the post of Assistant Professor (English Journalism) on contract basis.

Assistant Professor

• Number of vacancies : 06
• Qualification:
• Good academic record with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade where grading system is practiced at the Master’s Degree level in Mass communication/Journalism or related subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. 
• Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) or similar test accredited by the UGC.
• Holders of Ph. D. degree as on the date of notification of these regulations along with those candidates who are awarded a Ph. D.  Degree through a process of admission, registration, course work and external evaluation as have been/or may be laid down by UGC through its regulations, shall be exempted from NET.
• Age: Below 40 years as on last date of receipt of application.  
• Remuneration: Rs.35,000/- per month consolidated.
